Notification of Virginia Fumigation Provider Closure

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is notifying stakeholders that the only import fumigation provider in Virginia has closed. Until a new fumigation provider is established in the State, any shipments requiring fumigation will be refused and must be re-exported. APHIS understands the important role Virginia plays in supporting U.S. import operations and remains committed to maintaining strong phytosanitary safeguards.
